LANGDON LORIMER
Upon moving to NYC from California in 2001 Langdon began teaching indoor cycling at well known fitness clubs throughout Manhattan where he molded his classes after his instructor in California. "Rachel brought a sense of emotion to each class that made the experience of pushing one's self intimate." He has since transformed his classes by bringing elements of yoga into the experience of the ride. "Sometimes I have students focus on different energy points (chakras) while breathing as we climb to Krishna Das for instance. The goal is to leave each class with a sense of fulfillment, one way is through bringing the components of the mind and body together often through music." In 2003 Langdon founded FocusFit, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of teenagers through group exercise, such as yoga and indoor cycling.
